This is probably a stupid question, but how much does upper body

work out and build upper body strength, should I expect to add much to
that?

Any strength that you add will help, but getting as much of a full
turn and clearing your hips is the key to distance from what my pro is
telling me. Everything else is relative.

I'm trying to regain some of the distance lost because of the hip
replacement and lower back problems. But three rotator cuff
operations have limited my back swing, and those three problems
together really have taken their toll. I've lost at least 30-40 yards
off my driver, and have to hit three-four clubs more on the average
for a given distance.

Oh yeah...then there's those added years.

It all adds up to being a bummer.
