How much is it? They just ran fiber on our street but FIOS is not

of our service providers at work. Static IP, $33/mo, 8mb down, tier 2
tech support.

I actually called tech support once after lightning zapped the cable
modem. I didn't have wire a windows box into the modem or follow a stupid
script or anything. It was remarkably painless, a big step up from "DHCP?
I have no idea what that means."

It's really not bad even though it's not fiber. Newsgroup access sucks
though. I heard Verizon dropped the alt hierarchy. True?
