Your points are well said and received, Alan. I just get annoyed with
the long memories in here. He posted a valid drill learned from a
valid source. I appreciate posts like this and would like to see
more, without ridicule. Let the reader decide if Larry's advice is
full of crapola or not.

Larry, for what its worth, I really appreciate the various tips and
information you provide in this forum. As for the "seeming"
contradictions Alan referred to, I have come to realize that the game
of golf is a very "fluid" sport. In other words, I am constantly
learning new things that basically just constitutes a new layer of
understanding. I have found that the game of golf gives me many "Aha"
moments. These epiphanies do not in any way negate the previous things
I have learned.
Red,
There's nothing inherently wrong with any drill that he has
regurgiated here every ~6 weeks repating the process over again after
about a year. Bobby Jones, SLAP, Ernest Jones, Bobby Jones,
SLAP....etc.
Nothing at all with the text itself, but if you look at it closely,
there's a pedantic/superior stance taken e.g. "the problem all
amateur's face is xxxx." Where he knows the problem (reverse weigh
shift, for example) is generally overcome by anyone who breaks 90 and
it's only intent is to insult.
Pure stink bait, and he has ZERO concern for sharing any golf
technique even if he were qualified.
ZERO.
Yup. It's all self-aggrandizing puffery. Snipit...
Itr seems to me that <snip>
You are -- of course -- entitled to your opinion.
I will note, however, that you don't mind snipping other people's
opinions out...
It's pretty much a standard practice, although usenet newbies like you
might not understand. The post is in the thread anyways. Of course, I
suppose it's a big deal to edit *YOUR* grandiosity.
