I couldn't agree more! It's a shot in the arm for all deer and deer
lovers to see a hunter get it for a change! He's only lucky the buck
didn't use his antlers! =:-0

What about the poor cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys ...

Exactly. A deer that gets shot by a hunter has lived a better, longer
life and is killed in a more humane fashion than any of the cows, pigs
or chickens that you eat every day without thinking about where they
came from.

I agree John, it is so easy for the non-hunter to get up on his/her moral
superiority high chair against hunters as they reach into the refrigerated
case for the meat that their demand slaughtered. But at least their hands
are clean, riiiight.

Golf is played under a wide variety of conditions. Coping with the
good or bad fortune that arises from these conditions is one of the
ways that golf tests those who play the game.

I am not trying to be morally superior Bill. I know I'm going to open
a whole new discussion here, but according to the bible, cows,
chickens, turkeys are clean animals and as such are allowed to be
eaten. Pigs, deer, bear, ducks, just to name a few are forbidden. No
I'm not Jewish, or a religious fanatic, but I do believe in God's
Word.
Personally, I couldn't hunt for the sport of it. To take away a life
is no thrill to me.

Ok I'll bite... how is a duck any different than a chicken or turkey?
Hell I thought that turkeys were a new world bird but hey... good to
know god has spoken in the last 500 years.

Pigs...mmmm bacon. You are right shouldn't eat it leaves more for me.
Deer not bad, had some venison sausages that were delicious. Bear?!
Anyone who claims to hunt bear for food is full of crap as we aint
good eating. Seriously though I have yet to meet someone who has eaten
bear and thought it was anything but yuck.

I don't hunt, never have, never will but I have no problem with
hunting as long as it is for food.

Lots of deer on the courses around here.
