Fact: there isn't a *single* person in RSG who would agree with your
assertion that you are a better golfer than Mike. That's really what
this is about, isn't it? Even Dene, at one point, conceded Mike's
improved play and dropped the whole thing. Are you also able to do so
now?

First of all, who are you? Why hide behind the anom.?
Almost all who attend midwest RSG events know who I am. I *rarely*
participate in *this* forum anymore, that's all.
I sign my name at the bottom of my post, as do you. My email and
"nickname" reveal as much about me as yours do about you.
Secondly, I'm one person in RSG who doesn't necessarily agree that Rob
is a better or worse golfer than Dalecki. Match play straight up at
RSG-Cincy would solve that issue. If handicaps are used, then my
money is on Rob.
That would be a fine match, I'm sure. Doubt it will happen. And it
wouldn't solve the "issue". It would determine who played better that
day. A slightly better comparison would be the scores over four/five
rounds of an RSG event, don't you think?
Further, if Rob is a sandbagger (as has been suggested) and is in fact
of greater ability than his index suggests, it stands to reason he'd
have the edge in a handicapped match. Rob also indicated that he
(paraphrasing) could pretty much play to his handicap at will. That
would give him a statistical edge over Mike.
Generally speaking, vanity 'cappers don't hurt the game, only
themselves. 'Baggers are another story. Mind you, I'm not accusing
anyone in this discussion of being either.
I don't really care who is better. Rob does, it seems.
$100 for starters.
Finally, I've only witnessed one very good golfer, and he has the RSG
victories to match his talk. His real name is Bret. 2nd best is
Sparky or Pitts. Koenig....maybe 4th, if he's sobered up, although
Greer would give him a run for his money.

Nice anecdote, and that's a good list. Having met two of the five,
and knowing the reputation of the other three, I'd agree. But there
are many recently improved golfers in "RSG-land" as well. Bill-O and
Mike, whom I've played with recently, come to mind. We are all too
familiar with those here who speak of abilities or improvement and
fail to back it up. Others, like Bill-O and Mike, have backed it up
on more than one occasion at more than one event, and not just RSG
outings. You yourself applauded the fact in Mike's case. I guess Rob
just can't quite bring himself to that stage.
