I think the Times handled this badly. It seems that there is a
plausible explanation that there are "stand by" rates. However,
by the time the Times go this out to AdAge, the whole issue was
out of the news cycle. The Times should have immediately printed
an explanation on its front page. The way it sits now, most
people see the discounted ad as further proof of the NY Times'
liberal bias.
An explanation on the front page? Have you lost your mind? The Post
is a rag. There was no reaction from the Times because there was no
story. Period.
No story? You've got to be kidding. It was all over the news for a
few days.
There is a way around these stupid little pissing matches. It is
through the examination of things called "facts". Facts can be
manifested in any number of ways, in this case through Chris's
definitive discussion of standby advertising rates as practiced by
the Times and other major newspapers.
This begs the question, if the facts so obviously settle the argument
why are all you 23 percenters still bitching? I'll tell you why:
because you're biased.
One of the most biased leftys here calling someone biased, how rich.
You are too biased to evaluate the bias of others.
Ahh I see. Idiot.
I'm always amused when you start calling other people stupid.
