I have to side with Larry here. Baker has done nothing but attack
me
for years now. He falsely accused me of "helicoptering" a club
and
putting people in danger when there was no one within 40 feet of
me
and I had tossed the club at my bag which was no more than 10 ft
away.
That was the first attack and it has gone downhill from there.
Actually, I've done nothing but ignore you except when you've
broken
your word not to discuss Tiger's behaviour on the golf course.
Actually, why can't you just be like the other regular grown-ups and
not worry about what Ken Pitts says...about Tiger or otherwise?
Everyone has their own way of handling such things.
Implicit in Ken's posts is "it's a free newsgroup, I can do what I
want". Well that cuts both ways.
There's a big difference between doing things because you can and
doing things things because you should. Of course you _can_ help
Pitts' Tiger threads go from one or two posts to 50 or 60. Does that
mean that you _should_? No. I know it feels good to put your opinion
out there, to try to point out to him the error of his ways...but
Pitts is as Pitts does. You don't try to convince your dog to change
the color of his fur do you?
Your entitled to your opinion, of course, but myself, I expect more from
human beings that I do from dogs.
But, if you like, I'll try to put an identifier in the subject line of
replies to Ken and Larry, et al.
Allow me to express my opinion in this free forum. You write well
Alan and most of the time, you know what you're talking about on a
variety of subjects. So my two bits correlates with Ben admonition,
whose posts I also enjoy. Why not let Larry and Ken go, particularily
Ken? So he made an impulsive promise about TW. He changed his mind.
Big deal. You have much better things to post about. E.g.....the
stack n tilt, which has changed my ball striking and accuracy
dramatically! If it wasn't for you, I'd never notice the GD issue
that was gathering dust in the mag pile.
I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree (gee, whodathunkit? <G>)
There's an old maxim: "silence gives consent" and I don't... ...consent,
that is.
Moreover, Ken gave his word after much childish whining about how
everyone was being mean to him by killfiling him, etc. He gave his
promise in order to get back in people's good books, but he's now
failing to live up to his promise.
If he wants to announce that he's changed his mind, then fine. But until
he does, I see nothing wrong with calling him on it when he fails to
live up to his word.
As for the golf advice, I'm glad it's working for you. It's still
working pretty well for me, too.
I'd kiss you but you'd probably like it. ;>
NTTAWT, right. :-)
