Howard, this was 1970, we weren't stealing the heat, we were
liberating it. Right on. Power to the people.
That's not an American characteristic - it is a characteristic of
people around 20 years old - in America and elsewhere.
First, it wasn't my idea to hot wire the heater, but I will admit that
I thought it was a good idea. It wasn't our fault that the heater was
on its last legs. My friend did nothing to the heater other than
bypass the coin box. If a light bulb blew out while we were in the
room, would it be out fault?
I still get a good laugh when I think about it.
