I see, that would be why the likes of public universities such as
Berkeley, Michigan, and indeed all of the Big Ten schools, rank in the
listings of the best universities in the world, wouldn't it? You have no
idea what you are talking about, or what it takes to get into Ohio
State. You are just another third rate college washout with a gigantic
chip on your shoulder, and a suitcase full of ignorance.

The US News and World Report ranks the best US Universities every year
and in 2007 there was not one public university in the top 20. BTW,
Ohio State - Columbus came in at #57. That's third rate at best.

The US News & World Report is almost completely worthless as a ranking -
reputable universities won't touch it or cooperate with it, even if it
ranks them high. Or do you want to be ranked by an outfit a) refuses to
release details of its ranking process, b) gives weight to such academic
factors as the nature of off-campus housing, and the local community,
and c) changes the rules every year so that it can sell magazines? No, I
thought not. The most reliable ranking is the one conducted by the
National Research Council. The academic community comes to a consensus
about how that should be conducted, and what weight should be given to
what questions. Watch out for it - it will come out in the next couple
of years. In the meantime, enjoy your comic book USN&WR - it's about
your level.

The Ohio State Engineering program didn't make the top 25 in 2008.

Try looking by discipline, Jack, that's the only one that even begins to
make sense. You'll find my program in the top 15 - even by USN&WR's
phony beauty contest.

As in all fields, the creative college professors make plenty of money.
Tell us what you consider an acceptable income? Please do.

A lot more than you make.

Avoiding the question again, Jack? How typical. Come on, give me a
figure for what you consider an adequate income - I dare you.
