Next hole I hit a nice
drive that is again short. I wind up with a 120 approach on the par 5,
hit an 8I, and it's almost 2 clubs short.
The ProV1s (as are the other tour type of balls) are made for high swing
speeds. Pulling out an 8 iron from 120 yards indicates you do not have a
high swing speed. Stick with distance balls and feel free to send me any
ProV1s that you may find or win.
That's what I figured at the time. The ball is made more for higher
swingspeeds than before. I can see why so many people have been complaining
about it. It feels like I'm hitting a marshmallow, for whatever reason.
Soft balls. Take some getting used to, especially around the greens but
ultimately better for your short game becuase they don't bounce as
much as the rocks. It's noticable going from TopRocks to softer balls
and disconcerting if you are used to the click of the Rocks.
