I bet you'll love 'em. I've got a set of KZG ZO blades that Mike made
for me and I love 'em. Combine a good, consistent set of clubs with a
good, consistent swing and you're bound to score well. Like you, I
don't care that they're not brand name. In fact, everyone who sees them
loves how they look and a lot of folks have said they look like Mizunos.
Now if I didn't have the tragedy of working for a living that keeps me
from golfing more often........
I hear ya. I switched jobs recently. I'm very happy with it but I'm so
busy right now I'm only getting to play once or twice a month.
Actually the KZG dealer plays the ZO blades. And one of the things I like
best about my JNP's is the lack of offset. They're actually nearly
identical in appearance to the KZG cavity back irons. I could always get
those too. I'm still kind of mulling over what I should get.
So far I have the 22 and 26 degree U-irons, and I just ordered the 18. I'm
trying to figure out a set with consistent distance gaps. I notice the
lofts for the Evolutions are 31, 35, 39, 43, 47, 51 for 6i-AW. I was
thinking of getting them all bent a degree strong so as to have a
consistent 4 degree gap from 18 through 50 degrees. But then maybe the 26
degree U-iron plays longer than a 26 degree iron would, so there's a
possibly of leaving too big a gap there. I'm honestly not sure what to.
I absolutely want steel shafts. I went with TT-Lites tipped between
regular and stiff in my hybrids, more as an experiment than anything. I
find the ball does seem to go pretty high, but I'm not sure how much of
that is hybrid induced. I've noticed more of a tendency to hook than my
S300's. I had my clubhead speed measured at 92-ish with my 5i a couple of
years ago, but that was with a Swingmate of unknown accuracy and when I
was playing a lot and swinging well. Maybe if I'm not playing as much I'd
be better off with softer shafts... I don't know what to do there either.
