Even now, they will show a taped shot without saying it's taped.
Often, they do say "John Doe a moment ago had this for birdie" or
"while we watched that putt, John Doe was at the 13th doing this."

I HATE when they tell you "a moment ago" because you know the guy is
going to make the putt, since there's no reason to show yet another
missed 30 footer.
