It's just a matter of using the right CODEC at the right compression

Which codec have you had the most success with for web viewing?
I usually use Windows Media Video 9
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/codecs/video.aspx
MS Encoder (which has good and bad features)
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.mspx
It gives a lot of options as far as compression method. I use ULead
Media Studio for editing, but I'll mess with Premiere too. They're
both really good. I like the WM Encoder for quick and dirty
conversions when no editing is required.
I've also used DivX, but the problem with DivX is for some reason
Windows Media Player won't automatically download the Codec like it
does with other codecs. So most people are going to be clueless as to
1) what codec they need to view a file (if it was sent via email, for
instance) and 2) how to d/l and install it.
DivX quality is excellent, but unless I'm keeping a file for myself,
I'll use WMV9.
