John does. He claimed that losing weight causes him to swing faster
and mess up.
But what I am referring to is acceleration, not speed. His slower
acceleration can achieve the club head speed at impact to get the big
distance - by being a long, smooth swing. I'm not saying his
acceleration is at the level of hackers - but other players with his
distance have shorter swings which means they need more force
/acceleration to get the needed clubhead speed.
