I've got a friend at work whose son is 12 years old and about 5'2" tall. Junior club sets are to short for him and regular length clubs are to long. Would it be possible to *** trim an inch or so from standard length clubs for him? If so, how would you measure the kid to determine the appropriate amount to trim. I have regripped clubs in the past so my friend asked me about this thinking I was a club maker, but I'm not. He has some decent clubs he would be willing to trim for the kid. Thanks in advance. Barry
I am not a club maker either but I suspect the clubs would probably be quite firm as a result of the trim. Have you considered trying a (used) set of ladies clubs?

It's a good way, IMO, to start someone out.
