Just following the precedent laid down by the Kennedy and Johnson
administrations example of the Vietnam War. A major difference will be
that we will win in Iraq. Another major difference has been the
magnitude of the distortions, moving from grossly overstating the
degree of success of the effort in Vietnam during that war to grossly
overstating the failures in Iraq.

Maybe 50,000 Americans will be killed in Iraq as were killed in
Vietnam, but I doubt it.
