There are other considerations. Is it a friendly game? Betting
involved?
Also, how crowded is the course? It's maddening to watch all four
people of a group in front of you putting from inside a foot.
In our group, you're not going to get a gimme on a two footer if it's
meaningful. You probably will get a gimme on a one footer or less. If
you've been beaten on the hole, you can pick it up regardless of
distance.
