The two types of distance measuring devices are equally legal--and
illegal for tournament play. But accuracy is accuracy-- and there are
other benefits of GPS that a laser can't do-- such as the ability to
measure the drive distances of everyone in your foursome, etc. Add
in the "target" programming that SkyGolf incorporated and there is
simply no comparison. Your GPS suggests a target from the tee, gives
layup distances, hazard distances, etc. etc.
