Thunder

Played a very long course that did a giant loop from the clubhouse,
meandering through a new developement and finally returned to the
clubhouse at 18. I was paired with 3 guys who were okay golfers and a
lot of fun to play with. We had already agreed to play another local
course next week. It began thundering and we could see a dark cloud way
off in the distance. They immediately pulled off and went inside a home
that was being built. I ask if they were kidding, as the group behind
us was playing through, giving us a look of disbelief. I grabbed my bag
and started walking back, about 3 miles to the clubhouse. Never have I
seen anyone pull off the course, unless lightning was striking visibly
in the area. Everyone on the course had continued their rounds except
those guys. Anyone else that scared of thunder?
