I actually believe that. I detest your socialism because it is the
ruination of this country but I expect you might be a decent fellow

But the question remains, didn't your kid do exactly what you hoped
and expected he would do? To me pride should be reserved for something
better than expected.

Maybe it's my mea culpa. If I could ever accept the lack of decency
and responsibility displayed by the majority of the citizens in our
current society I would probably agree that your son did something
"above and beyond the call of duty". I'm just having a problem
understanding that most people now are pure trash and certain
desirable traits are exceptional.
