I disagree and I followed both their careers. Don't get me wrong,
Major was a great athlete and really fun to watch, but the difference
to me even if you throw out the stats, is that he never had that
national game where he led the team over a heavy favorite. Frankly,
in two of the three bowls (ND and Clemson), they were not even
competitive.
There was also a certain amount of friction between he and Nehlen, and
while I wasn't in the locker room to know what happened, it affected
Harris' decision to leave early. Whether that was either's ego or
not, While has always been team-first through thick and thin.
