They weren't wailing, they didn't mention a conspiracy or anything even
close to one, they didn't do anything other than wonder what had just
happened and why the official didn't see that the player who was in the
air when he got hit dropped the ball before he landed.

I'm sorry, PFC, I accidentally used some figurative language without
posting a literal explanation for your assistance in helping you
understand the nuances of my post.  When I said, "railing against the
conspiracy", this was what is known as an overstatement, and was not
intended to be taken literally.  

Carl, don't be a jerk for no reason.  You aren't anywhere near as smart
as you think you are and you are certainly no one to talk down to me.

We're both watching the same game, and while there are many things about
you which label you as slightly less than human, I doubt that hearing
things which haven't been said is one of those things.  I didn't take
your statement literally, as would be obvious if you weren't so
desperate to consider yourself superior.

Your statement, taken to *ANY* degree, was stupid... it's that simple.

Lemme get this straight.

Your contention is that you disagreed with my whole statement to any
degree, and that you knew beforehand that the last four words of my
post were just an exaggeration. Then, given this state of mind, your
decision was to point out that my the last four word of my post, the
ones you claim you knew were an exaggeration, were not true, while not
even addressing with the main point of my post, which is that Herbie
and Mushburger were stupid for it not to occur to them it might have
been forward progress.

Not addressing my main point, just nit-picking a figure of speech.

There was nothing in even the same universe as your oh-so-witty
implication... nothing at all.  You grasped for wit, and failed.  Wrap
your imaginary huge brain around that, you pompous fool.
