You look like you're going to be President.
I sure hope you know what you're doing and get people that know what
they are doing too.
I fear for my country's future, I hope you change that.
obama is going to expand government, expand the reach of gov't into
health care, expand entitlement programs, appoint very liberal scotus
justices, make our tax system more progressive, etc.....
if you're afraid of those things, I understand your frustrations.
As for health care, I think eventually we will move more and more
towards a one payer all type of system with more and more elements of
socialism. But I really do not believe physicians will have their
income capped in any way, or that salaries will be anything like
canadian physician salaries. Depending on the field one is in I think
moderate hits will take place, but it won't be anything like
canada....so I'd worry less about that.
Certainly though we could eventually get into a much much more
progressive tax system. This idea that obama will stop at bill
clinton's upper tax levels is silly. We've seen the top tax bracket
be as high as 70% just 29 years ago, so obviously there is a ways to
go upwards past 39%.
And that, in a nutshell, are the major reasons I did not want Obama as
president, particularly with Democratic control of the Senate and House.
understandable, but you have this tendency of looking at what's
"right" and what's not "right" and then letting that cloud your
thinking. Especially when the things you think are "right" some
others think are "wrong". Nothing is accomplished by thinking that
way.......
i got through the bush years. You'll make it through these. I just
hope I enjoy the obama years much better than conservatives did the
bush years.
