Really? I use algebra ALL the time - and I'm not talking in career
related matters.
And, when you do, do you say "I just used algebra?!"

THAT is a smart approach to it, especially when teaching your
daughter.

But since you like to point out that I'm shallow and below you
(intelligence-wise) in most threads I participate in,

Normally I'm just disagreeing with you. But maybe I have to
question your intelligence if you think I question your
intelligence. :)

I have to admit
that I don't commonly realize when I am using algebra (because I'm an
extremely right-brained 'tard.)

My wife is a molecular biologist who hates math but who's teaching
our (younger) kids math right now. She's doing a great job, because
she realizes a lot of what math does in real life.
