You're not like the others, "Edward M. Kennedy" <ei@xxxxxxx>... you
like the same things I do! Wax paper! Boiled football leather! Dog
breath!

What is it with words on the shorts of girls these days?
My 10yo daughter is now the owner of a pair that says "here comes
trouble."
I told her that not only did I not care for sayings on her butt,
but the saying doesn't make any sense. If she's walking away, for
the person to read it, then trouble is not approaching, it's
leaving.
I mean, it would be different if an older woman wore a pair that
said something like, "here goes half."
Who bought them for her? Seriously.

I didn't want to double-post on the subject, but you've convieniently
provided an opening for my soapbox dialogue.
It's amazing how teenagers have convinced so many parents that they
own stuff. There is nothing in the house that doesn't belong to the
parents ... even the kids clothing. Send offensive articles
landfill.
That's so stupid it's got to hurt. I had a bank account at
a very young age. I owned lots of stuff as I grew up. The
savings bonds my grandma bought were legally mine. My high
school car was in my name.
Yes, my parents could ban things. That doesn't mean I didn't
buy and own things.
You may have bought them, but chances are that in the eyes of the law -
you didn't really own them any more than your parents chose to allow you
to.
In general they chose to, yes. But if I went into a store and
bought something, I owned it. Some thug or cop couldn't legally
just take it from me.
But your parents could.

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very
well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive,
we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build
your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a
gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will
follow ours." (General Sir Charles Napier)
