What is it with words on the shorts of girls these days?
My 10yo daughter is now the owner of a pair that says "here comes
trouble."

I told her that not only did I not care for sayings on her ***, but
the saying doesn't make any sense. If she's walking away, for the
person to read it, then trouble is not approaching, it's leaving.
I mean, it would be different if an older woman wore a pair that said
something like, "here goes half."

Who bought them for her? Seriously.

I didn't want to double-post on the subject, but you've convieniently
provided an opening for my soapbox dialogue.

It's amazing how teenagers have convinced so many parents that they own
stuff. There is nothing in the house that doesn't belong to the
parents ... even the kids clothing. Send offensive articles landfill.


While this is technically true in many ways, it's really a
pretty shitty attitude to take with your kids. BTW, unless a parent's
name is on a bank account, they have no right to it. This is also true
regarding a minor's paycheck.

If find it hard to believe that if they wanted at it, they couldn't get it. I'm not saying kids shouldn't be given responsibility
and allowed to make mistakes with money and other things, but in reality, it's a huge part of the parents' job to draw lines and
establish boundries. If it means throwing out offensive clothing, so be it.

By our own standards of offensive, we probably all agree
with that, but I otherwise let my son own stuff.
