I watched it only because I loved 2001, so I figured I'd give another
Kubrick film a try. Perhaps oranje is just a movie taht doesn't age
well.
2001 was pioneering in that it pointed the way to modern space special
effects but it's sooooooo sloooooooooooow moving that it didn't age
very well IMO. It definately has it's moments (HAL) though.
Clockwork orange was an original shock movie (was unrated for a time)
but modern movie violence has desensitized us so much that it wouldn't
be significant to today's younger audience.
