Zaphod Beeblebrox presented the following explanation :Disculpa Senora Dan S., pero did you really mime the following on 6/23/2008 9:10 PM???
<snip>
If you don't know that, the world has really fed you a lie. No, you are not supposed to have premarital sex.
Is that so? OK - please tell me how you arrived at this conclusion.
I'd have to, at this point, ask, how can you not know that? I really don't know what to tell you.
I really, really, REALLY hope this is not one of those goddamn "fishing" expeditions - please do NOT tell me this is the case!
Assuming it isn't (and I damn well AM giving you the benefit of doubt here) I'd like you to find it in your grace to "know what to tell me" since it's WAY beyond my simple mind.
I'm completely serious. I know there are some parents who teach kid - yes, kids - that nailing the booty is of paramount importance in life. And, I know there are girls who are raped by their dads who spend their life looking for the love they never had from one man's bed to the next. But, I seriously do not know how someone could not at least have heard this social more. And, to that end, I cannot be led any further on this particular fishing expedition. The game is thin, and the bait is spoiled.
OK - I give up too.
It is English. It's pretty clear. Maybe I could better substitute presume for assume (bad habit), but you'll have to parse that sentence.
And, if you don't think sex has anything to do with marriage, try going through custody hearings for children in an annulment versus a divorce. In one, they do a DNA test on the kid, in the other they don't.
Eh - So? I asked what you meant by "Legally, marriage is
assumed to entail sexual relations" with the emphasis on "Legally."
Assume for a minute that English is not my native tongue and be kind enough to parse it for me, will ya?

I'm so hip I have trouble seeing over my pelvis.
I'm so cool you can keep a side of meat in me for months.
