Will they next be telling us that FDR didn't win WWII?
So now you're arguing on my side?
Are you stoned or stupid?
What's your excuse? Alzheimer's?
I'm NOT arguing on his side, so I am neither stoned, stupid or have
Alzheimer's.
I dunno, you apparently think FDR won WWII. That's about
first grade simplistic.
Credit, in these cases, is generally given to the person in command
when the conflict swung in the final direction.
Ah, that's why we say the North or Grant won the Civil War, Lincol
preserved the Union, and FDR commanded the Allies.
Wait...
Reagan is certainly
*that* person. And he made a lot of the final decisions that led to
that victory.
I didn't realize he was telling Lech Walesa and the Pope what to do.
So, "a lot of" transmogrifies into "all" in your mind?
And, note that the plays of Solidarity and the Roman Catholic Church
would not have succeeded without a commitment from the US to back
those play once they had started. And, that had to come from Reagan.
Spruance is given credit for the victory at Midway. Yet, Commander
Rochefort's analysis of broken Japanese codes was key and Lieutenant
Best's breaking off of his attack on Kaga and diverting to Akagi was
also key (bringing the IJN down to one deck in the first attack versus
the two that would have been available if Best had not reacted).
It may be simplistic, but it the way those kinds of things are
referred to as.
With a single battle it makes a good bit more sense. With the cold
war, it's childish simplicity at best.

Judging from his last two poasts in this thread, David has been
reduced to little bleating one-liners in this thread, Tedward. He
started with nothing more than his rabidly partisan EVERYBUDY KNOE5
RAYGUN 0NE THE C0LD WAR!!@!1!! proclamation by simple assertion, and
he's gone down rapidly since then. I really don't think he's worth
bothering with anymore on the subject.
