You are an idiot. The average temperature in Arizona has risen 2
degrees. Just the other day a huge chunk of ice broke off that even
the alarmists weren't predicting would happen until years down the
road. This shit is happening.
Then how come world temperature hasn't risen for ten years? 1998 is
still the high water mark, and 2008 ain't looking to surpass it
either...
And wingnuts wonder why we call them pinheads.
The goddamn polar ice cap is breaking up and melting, and all you
have to say is, gosh, it isn't as hot at my house as back in 1998?
I wouldn't bet my life that global warming was the cause of the recent
break up in polar ice, but I wouldn't bet against it, either. Wind
pattern change may have a bigger role.
As far as a dramatic dip in air temperature since 1998, I don't know
what people are looking at.

The temperature record through 2007 is still decidedly positive. Some
data collections put 1998 as the peak, but Goddard/NASA puts the peak
at 2005. All are close. The graph isn't fine grained enough to tell
for sure, but 2007 looks as anomalous as 1998 so it's odd to look to
recent temperatures as arguments against the theory. Yes, temps
cooled in January 2008, but March 2008 was the 2nd warmest on record.
Air temps can rebound quickly. As long as CO2 concentrations rise,
there will be a steady addition of energy to the climate system.
