This cross may end up being too much for McCain

Why should McCain bear any cross at all. He was
criticizing Bush's handling of the war from the
begining. If anything, this gives him a big "I told
you so."
I explained why above--he alienates a chunk of his
base when he points out that bush and the wingnut
parrotheads on the radio were stupid, and damaged our
armed forces.
So who else will said supposedly alienated wingnuts
vote for?
Well, they are retracting their earlier promises to
vote for Clinton over the more liberal McCain.
But in an election, participation is a huge factor, and
even a slight decrease in participation by one block of
voters can determine the outcome. For example, if just
10% of the born-again voters had stayed home in 2004,
that could have thrown the election to Kerry.
I know that the wingnut cheerleaders will be out in
force over the next 6 months, but some of their targets
will remember their stupid statements of a couple of
months ago, and not leave work early enough to vote.
Against Hillary! or Obamamessiah?
They won't want to vote against those librulz?
McCain is more liberal than Clinton. I heard that
repeated ad nauseum on the radio, by the hosts AND
by the callers.
Some people in this very chatroom even said McCain was a
"Spineless weasel".
And he is wrong on alot of issues. Even with that, he's a
hell of a lot better than Obama or Clinton. You do the
math.

Then why are you voting for Clinton in the primary?
It's very chaotic...
You should probably have an answer better than "Rush told me
to."
I came up with my plan before hearing of Operation Chaos. It
worked out perfectly with what I was thinking so they became
one.
So how much credit will you take for "President Clinton II"?
I was willing to live with that chance if it meant no President
Obama.
What is it you're so afraid of, Hennig?
How many times must you be told that a person can dislike something
or someone without it being related to fear? You're not stupid, so
you obviously have some other agenda when you do this. I'm
guessing that you think it makes the other person look smaller, but
you're only fooling yourself.

I don't like mushrooms. I'll leave 'em out of a recipe and pick
'em off a pizza. I think they're gross. But that doesn't mean I
fear them.
Look, Hennig, your "dislike" of Obama has to be based on something.
What is it based on, Hennig?

Did you mean Gysin?

No.

Then why did you reply to his post and then refer to me?

You're right, Hennig, the posts above CLEARLY show that
you really like Obama, and anybody questioning you is an
idiot.

My point was that Trevor started asking stuff from me in a thread after
Gysin instead of the post he had replied to earlier in the thread. It
seemed to me that he might have mistaken his posts. I'm not sure how you
get your response out of the exchange here.

So why DO you dislike Obama? Or is Trev's post enough to let
you dodge that question forever?
