Ahmad Bradshaw steals the fumble recovery away from the Patriots
defense.

Akshully, by all rights that should have been Patriots ball. The
Patriot defender had the ball ON THE GROUND and as soon as he was
touched by Bradshaw, the play should have been called dead.

Should have been Pats ball, but wasn't. BIG turnaround.

Anything can happen in the pile. So it goes.

It wasn't a pile. It was just the Patriots defender on the ground
with the ball. Then Bradshaw jumped on top of him and proceeded to
try to take it away from him. As soon as Bradshaw touched him, the
ball is dead.

Except that it wasn't.

I've never seen the NFL rule that stated that if a guy is in
possession of the ball on the ground that it MUST become a pile/scrum
prior to determining possession.
