USS Missouri - SSN-780
USS California - SSN-781
USS Mississippi - SSN-782
I miss the old days when only battleships were named for States, heavy
cruisers for large cities, light cruisers for smaller cities,
destroyers for people, submarines for fish/odd ball stuff, and for the
most part, battles for CVs.
We now have cruisers (USS Virginia)
Cruisers named for states have gone the way of ships-of-the-line. The
current USS Virginia is a submarine.
and subs named for states, it just isn't right.--
