Interesting.

All you young guys are very adaptable to change in technology that
gives us dinosaurs fits.

I just read slashdot.org.

(Although I also run Linux on my home PC.)
I've been running a fresh install of Lepoard since early November and
have not had nearly the problems that others seem to be having. Of
course I can keep my copy of XP up for years too without regular
reinstalls like so many others seem to need so I attribute a lot of
problems to user error.

My age peers seem to have a lot more problems than I do. My only
reinstalls with 2000 and XP are because the registry gets crowded with
residue from installs/uninstalls and I think that slows the computer.

It can but a good registry cleaner can usually take care of that and
Microsoft modified how the registry was stored in the 2000+ lines. I
remember huge registry problems in 95/98.

I dl'ed a cleaner and deleted some on the entries but I was afraid to
do more.

Us old fogies are still afraid we'll break the computer. One grandson
has to wipe his HD a couple of times a month - but I think he goes
where no man has gone before.

OR TO WHERE many men go for hardcore porn...

He and his girlfriend visit with us pretty often - my opinion is that
he has no need for added attractions.

If I were to view porn it could do nothing but make me more
appreciative of what I have at home.
