I had to go to Bear country today to fix a printer at the VA. On the
way home I just had to stop in the Chekz capital of Texas, West.

I found the West Check Meat Market and got 4 pounds of hawt links. About 10 inches long in a continues' chain....

I'm cooking them now with sourkraut, steak fries, corn on the cob
(which is just now coming into season in NORTEX), a bag salad, and of
course the snausages.

Will give a Tums report later.

I couldn't eat it all. I still have pie had to discard an eighth of a

Amish Hoosiers?

Looks like a little slice of Pennsyltucky in Indiana.

My college gradumation dinner was at a Der Dutchman in Waynesville
Ohio. Some seriously good food and lots of it. Them Amish women can
cook. I wasn't ready to full Amish, but I tried to get me a Mennonite
chyka once. Rather disappointed that didn't work.

Berks, York, Dauphin and Lebanon counties actually have as many Amish/Mennonite as Lancaster county. Ephrata and Myerstown areas on the Lebanon/Berks county line is full of them. Especially the Mennonite. Between them and the Amish, their churches, businesses(cash only, please!), schools, plain black cars and minivans are everywhere.

You're going to hear all about Notre Dame tradition and you know what? It doesn't mean a thing unless Knute Rockne leaps out of the ground and tackles you.... When you put those black shoes on tomorrow, and you put on that jersey without your name on the back and you put that plain helmet on, that's tradition. Penn State tradition!
