wtf is this crap?
1) Nebraska-Kansas: I can't watch this. nebraska is atrocious. Even
if kansas loses to them, I can't watch it because it's not fun to
watch an underdog win if the big underdog is nebraska and the
"favorite" is kansas....this is a no-win game that is completely
unwatchable either way.
2) TroyState-Georgia: I actually know 10 or so people here going to
this game. No thanks, I'll just wait a week and head up to athens to
see Auburn KILL georgia like I'm predicting. anyone else be in athens
next week?
3) Vanderbilt-Florida: aaaah, the jp game Im guessing. IOW, not
particularly watchable.
4) wake forest-Virginia: what makes this game so unwatchable is that
it probably has acc implications for UVA I would guess, and so if I
did watch it I'd have to hear about how a crappy team like UVA is
actually contending for their acc subdivision title....iow it just
makes me depressed that a BCS conference could be as mediocre as the
acc is this year.
5) Purdue-Penn St: these teams are 0-4 combined against tOSU/Michigan
this year with a combined score of something like 654-23. iow, it's
an unwatchable game. I'm sure whoever wins will have their supporters
shout they deserve to be ranked though!!
6) Iowa-NW: two things in life are certain- death, and that the
bigten will always have at least two supercrappy games at 1200 every
saturday, and that at least one of those will be on the deuce.
7) Miami-ncstate: didn't these teams already play this year? Oh
no...I see it was UNC miami has already played. if Miami and UNC
played again by mistake instead of ncstate, would anyone know?
8) Wisconsin-tOSU: This game is actually borderline watchable because
I want to see if tOSU can string back to back impressive wins
together. However it's watchability is somewhat weakened by the fact
that Wisconsin has little chance to win since they are on the road and
they'll insist on giving their fat stiff running back way too many
carries.....oh and even if it were watchable(and it would be the most
watchable game in the 1200ish time slot), i can't watch it because
it's on bigten network!
Another problem for the weekend- there are 2 games I actually find
interesting/appealing- LSU/Bama and Oregon/ASU. Why LSU/Bama comes
on at 500 instead of the usual 330 cbs time slot is puzzling.....it's
also problematic this weekend because an hour and a half after that
kickoff, Oregon/ASU kicks off so towards the second half of the bama/
LSU game I'll have to be switching back and forth.
And then after the ASU/Oregon game i'll have nothing to watch because
the abc "primetime" slots give us such great options(split up
regionally) as:
Florida State-BC: fairly unwatchable.
OregonSt-USC: completely unwatchable. This will be the third time
this year USC has been shown in the abc 800 slot playing a crappy
pac10 opponent(first washington and washingtonst). Why? why?
