It's called reformat. I work in the computer security field, people
don't generally get rid of Viruses, programs do. Unless you are an
expert on Viruses, I would suggest that If you can't find a program to
fix it for you (and maybe even if you can), reformat it.
This is exactly what I told her. She said "I know it's going to be a
hundred steps and take a LOT of time, but it's our ONLY OPTION!" I
said "Uh, not it's not. We can wipe the disk. That's about the only
way to be sure it's completely gone." Cripes, the only thing on there

I've read tech forum posts where people post their hijack this! logs
and then follow-up on the suggested next steps. Download 13 different
programs, run them each in this exact order, etc. etc. etc. Screw
that.
