No, I already pointed out the kickoff run back that was overturned and
several of the 4th downs.
what was "favorable" about several of the fourth downs? I can think
of one that was very very close(the one at the 6 yard line), but it
wasn't controversial or anything and Florida didn't even challenge
it. If they would have thought it had a decent chance of being
overturned they would have almost certainly challenged that spot
because a reversal would have been HUGE in that it would have
essentially ended the game.
I don't see anything particular "favorable" about it, except perhaps
in your mind. It was a close play, but hester's knee clearly wasn't
down until he was inside the 6 and that was the spot needed......he
didn't make it by much but then again it wasn't a hard spot to make
either.
Look at the teams and look at map. Georgia has a team in each league
yes, but that if the team in league A recieves 5x as much coverage/
interest as the team in league B within the state, it's silly to say
georgia is both an acc and sec state in this respect. (not to mention
that teams like Auburn and florida get a bunch of buzz in georgia)
,
Florida (even further south) has two in the ACC and one in the SEC).
ACC "country," includes Georgia
in the sense that there is an acc team located in georgia....sure.
Not in an interest sense. BTW, I thought you bigleasters liked to
bash the acc? I'm laying it out on a silver platter for you here and
you're not even going along with it.
Once again, there isn't a whole lot of interest in the acc here in
georgia. When gatech plays georgia that's about the only time most
college football fans here watch tech play.......
How about Notre Dame? Do you think that Notre Dame is still on
television based on what they've done the past few years or historical
perspective?
the historical perspective may be the reason *for* the interest, but
their on tv because the interest is still there. You're dealing w/
reasons for why people want to watch teams like ND. I don't care
about the reasons.........
not really....the only team I have a huge problem with in where they
are currently ranked is USF. You have problems with multiple teams(in
fact you're blasting away at all of LSU's three ranked opponents
they've beaten)
I simply don't consider the three ranked teams that LSU has beaten to
be the "hardest" part of their schedule.
well fine, then you have a much higher opinion of teams like alabama
and arkansas and kentucky than I do.
misssissippi is absolutely dreadful and alabama looks shaky as well.
I'd take VT without question over those two. Auburn and Arkansas are
still to be determined.
UM almost beat Florida.
not really.....they lost by 6 after UF took a big lead and never had
the ball in a position to really do any damage down 6, and UF could
have tacked on another td to make it 13 had they wanted but just opted
to kill the clock. i watched that game and didn't feel that UM had
any real shot to win.
But again, don't just look at one game- look at the whole picture.
Miss has recently been blown out by UGA and Vanderbilt.......they
might be the worst team in the sec(in fact they probably are). Why
anyone would consider them a threat is bizarre......
Alabama has a win over Ark and a close loss
to Georgia. So, if you're going to leave Ark as a TBD, then you have
to include Alabama in there as well, who already has a win over them.
Arkansas has a bigger upside imo because there is always the chance
mcfadden can go wild and break off some huge runs. Alabama has less
upside. Alabama may or may not finish with a better regular season
than Arkansas, but Arkansas' best game has a chance to upset LSU would
guess. Alabama's best game? Probably not.
USF has a win against a ranked team on the road and another at
home...
Oregon on the road >>> Auburn on the road
WVU at home > Tennessee at home, BUT the MOV in the tennessee game was
much greater than the wvu game
.
