Welcome to the hypocrisy of the preseason polls.

To wit, Michigan's defense (which got shredded by tOSU and USC) loses
all its star power, but the Wolverweenies still get a Top 5 ranking.

I can spot at least a half dozen other teams that are ranked ahead of
Boise, who shouldn't be.

UM ain't one of them.

How about FSU? GMAFB! Ahead of Boise?

To be fair, they should dock Boise a half dozen spots, just for that
ridiculous field.

PS: You have a point about UM. OTOH, UM, especially last year, is gonna
match up favorably with *any* of the elite teams that are primary-run
teams, while some of the teams that did <or could> kill UM wouldn't have
matched up well against those same run-based offenses. Unfortunately, I
have to agree with yer overall sentiment... until my beloved Wolverines
learn how to DEFEND THE FREAKIN' PASS, they shouldn't be able to crack the
top ten. This *** has gone on for too long! It's, like, embarrassing,
and stuff.

Yeah, F$U has no business being in the Top 50.
