patient recently, in all likelihood that's where they got it

That's a hell of a test, when it can
do that without the test having been performed yet.

even so, this whole "MOMENT they catch the disease" bs argument you're
going with(for whatever reason) is besides the point......

let's review the argument:

1) The lawyer in the article was quoted as saying these patients may
not know for years whether they had been infected
2) I pointed out that this was incorrect, and you said I'm wrong
3) Since a ppd test can identify whether they have been exposed to TB,
they could know right now whether or not they are infected....so I'm
right.

Now if the patient hasn't had a ppd in their whole life before and it
comes back positive, it's very possible that it's positive because of
another infective source other than the atlanta lawyer.....but that's
still irrelevant to the point of the original lawyer's statements
about how it may take years to know they are infected.....they can
know if they are infected in 24-72 hrs if they wanted to. if that ppd
comes back negative in 24-72 hrs, then the atlanta lawyer DID NOT
infect them, and they will NEVER develop TB in response to an
infection from the atlanta lawyer..........
