I'm sure you are correct, but it ain't me. If you do get
pop-ups, most of the time you wouldn't even know that extra
code was running before the windows closed. Most of it is
just snooping and tracking, and some of it is malware, which
can also be the former.

I have two 'puters at work. One browser is wide open, doing
work related stuff. The other is clamped down tighter than
a Muslim chastity belt -- no java, scripts, cookies, pop-ups,
Active X, etc. That's the one I use for after hours viewing
por^H^H^Hnon-work related naked women moaning in ecstacy.

But, sometimes, even when following links for work related
sites, I run into a pop-up.
