Re: car door question.....

mianderson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx formulated the question :
So my driver side power window won't roll up.

I guess the motor still works because when I push the automatic button
sometimes I heard the motor running and the window trying to go up.
But it doesn't move up. The other door window does work fine.

Anyways, I guess it's off-track or the regulator is messed up or the
attachements are messed up or whatever......

I have no interest whatsoever in ****ing around for several hours
trying to remove the door panel to find out what's wrong(and it's
doubtful I'd know how to fix it anyways).

So my question is- is this something I can have done at pretty much
any general repair shop, or is it something that you need to take to
your car's specific dealer for?

Also, what's the most something like this could cost? thanks.....

It's probably something you can do in your driveway in about 30 minutes with a screwdriver and pliers. You may need high strength epoxy (from the auto parts store) if the thingamajig came unglued. I'd sooner drive without a window than pay someone $200 bucks for something I can do in a half an hour.
