Two, make that three....four.... you know, I was still leaning towards
Dell regardless, just because I love the convenience of "at home"
configuration, etc. and getting exactly what we want. Plus, not
having to deal with sales geeks, etc. I love XPEEE..... I made sure
Anna's laptop had it, even though the sales geek was trying to point
me towards Vista.

I love it when the sales drones try to sell Vista on a PC with 512M
RAM....

I was looking at Dell's site for a tertiary PC (for just web browsing
and downloading) and might go with their cheapest Dimension with the
AMD and NO upgrades. man, i noticed that although the base price is
pretty good, they gouge you like crazy to upgrade anything. Hell,
buying a 24" monitor is MORE EXPENSIVE when you add it on as part of
the PC instead of just buying it separately. WTF?!

btw, if you do look at Dell, have a glance thru this first
