I have had photoshop elements 4.0 for about 1 year and it has
worked just fine for my needs. However, out of the blue, the
program will not start and I get an error message that says:
"An Error has been detected with a required application library
and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the
application." I have reinstalled the program several times on
different drives and every possible way, I have even downloaded
the trial version of PE 5.0 and I still get the same error.
Neither the internet nor Adobe have been any help. Does anyone
have any idea what is wrong? Nothing else on my computer
appears affected. Thanks in advance!!

Sounds like a corrupted MS dll file? How the hell that randomly
happens is beyond me, but it does.
