60% more than canada per person on our system, it would eliminate a
lot of the time/waiting/limited services angle............and it would
still cost less than our system now. And everyone would have
access.
, how new NAFTA-compliant patent rules are causing some generics to
be pulled from the market and the provinces can no longer afford the drugs,
and my personal favorite: one Ontario man has been trapped in his house for
two years after a car accident required a large portion of his skull to be
removed. Unfortunately, no one can find time to schedule him for surgery to
fix the problem so he can't leave the house. Apparently, Ontario lacks any
kind of ombudman to complain to when you aren't getting proper service.
Oh, and while prescription drugs might be cheaper there, OTC sure aren't. I
got reamed buying heartburn meds.
