Oh... waitaminute. CNN *did* show the sculpture of a naked,
anatomically-correct, Chocolate Jesus. As did ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC,
and Fox.

1. I think Christians should look on this with pride -- we can be insulted
and outraged without having to threaten or kill the news media.

The Son of Man was betrayed, put through a show-trial, beaten, scourged,
mocked, spit upon, crucified, speared, and lain in a borrowed tomb, all in
the name of saving the world from sin, and he did it all for you, John. And
that's what's this week coming up is all about, starting with Palm Sunday.
Maybe in your desire to be continually morally outraged you've forgotten
about the humilation the Lord went through already in your name, but that
work is finished. Maybe you should reflect on that this Holy Week.
And yes, nowadays we don't threaten newspapers or shoot reporters for
printing blasphemy, but a century ago in Eastern Europe they still had
pogroms on Good Friday, so we're not more than five generations removed from
that.
We are all sinners, John. Remember that next time you're stuffing those
Benjamins into the pretty girls at the P1NK P0NY!!!1! on Saturday night and
taking communion on Sunday morning.
A chocolate Jesus? Heh. In the realm of mocking, that's nothing. Barely
rises to Piss Christ.
