How does that feel, Tom? You still think it is funny and cutesy to
speak or type in the hillbilly routine?
Well, I have to admit, you do make a good argument.
I am sure you would do the same for me.
My relatives in
nothern Gerogia kind of speak like that anyway. Funny thing is, when
we have our family reunion at Virginia Beach we call them the
"hillbilly
kin."
The word "hillbilly" has always been used as a term of shame and
hatred directed at poor white people who do not have good educations.
It is usually used by more well to do white people to ridicule other
whites they feel are not up to standards.
It has recently been employed by black people in America to ridicule
white people they see as ignorant or stupid, in this form is strictly
racism, as in redneck or hillbilly cracker.
You sure are smart for a hillbilly.
(even though you dreamed up all this crap)
