Actually the explanation is simple enough. The "inspection" that Blix was undertaking was in now way different from numerous bogus inspections the previous decade over.
I didn't know that "bogus" meant "correct".
Your explanation ignores the fact, of course, that Blix was correct and you and your reindeer were wrong.
(How wrong was he?!)
