office assistant.. as well as how long it took him/her to type up the
notice of the 78-cent debt.
either way you have to have a *uniform policy* that is *easy to
understand*. If you don't have that it will lead to inefficiency and
waste. Apparently the physician, recognizing that the number of bills
he sends out of that sort of amount is trivial, has a policy in which
everyone gets the same sort of official correspondence who has a bill.
He could pick some arbitrary figure that his office staff is chosen to
write off, but then you have to go about deciding what that cutoff pt
is and such.....
