It sure doesn't look good for the Europeans.
I don't see how this argument supports your side in any way. The
population group(ie illegal mexicans) that you seem to most despise
being in this country is a good reason our population growth rates
aren't what european countries are........what with the influx of
Did I ever say I despised illegal immigrants? I don't hate the
people, I hate that they are breaking our laws and that they feel
like they should be allowed to stay and live off our tax money.
ok, whatever. You hate the mechanism for their entry....which also
happens to be the only way they can enter(due to max# of
visas/permits). And their entry(which you hate the mechanism for) is
largely responsible for creating the pop growth that puts us
comfortably ahead of the pop growth figures in the article you cite.
There are rules in place and people should not break in line just because
they can and our government isn't cracking down as much as they should
be.
But coming across illegally is not the only way they can enter. Its just
the easy way for them to enter.
immigrants(illegal and legal) and their higher than normal birth
rates(whose children become citizens whether the parent was legal
or not...and will likely go on to have more than 2 kids)
And higher abortion rates among native born Americans has something
to do with that as well...
yes, I'll grant that. But abortion would still be legal for almost
all of these people if you guys had your wish anyways, so it's a
non-starter.
No, its a real reason for population decline. Combine that with lower
birth rates for financial and personal reasons and there are some real
problems in the western world.
It sure as heck isn't non-URM republicans that is making our growth
rate higher than many of the european countries cited.
And yet Europe is the one that has the significantly growing
immigration problem with the Islamists coming over, not assimiliating
into society, and then wanting the Europeans to change to fit them,
and not the other way around. At least with the large influx of
Mexican immigrants, they want to be like Americans for the most part
and don't want the US to be like Mexico or any other country.
that's a little different tone than I've seen you usually take via
illegal immigration. Usually I see you complaining about how they
arent interested in learning the language, becoming americanized,
assimilated, etc.......
They want to be Americans, thats why they keep coming illegally. Yes,
many do not learn the language. But you compare the Mexican situation
with the Muslim influx its not quite the same thing. We absolutely need
to control our borders and prevent illegal immigration. This does not
come from me despising Mexicans or other people that want to come here
and be Americans. But even the ones that are here, they try to work with
us, go to schools with us, all that stuff. They are not wanting to force
us to teach everything in Spanish (though some places seem to want to for
PC reasons). They don't start riots if their home countries are insulted
in any way. Its not the same thing.
